Valley Hitch Mounted Basket Cargo Carrier measures 60" long and 20" wide. It comes with an expanded steel mesh floor and 6 high sides to keep cargo secure and in place. It is designed to fit a 2" receiver hitch with a minimum Class III or Class IV rating. These cargo carriers are manufactured from heavy duty tubular steel and measure 5/8" in diameter. The price was great. It looks great on the back of my 97 jeep. Now I can have 2 friends ride with us to the beach. Load the gear in the rack and we are off. It will hold up to 200 lbs. I can not tell in diffence in the operation of the Wrangler. Exhaust heat is not an issue. I actually drove for an 1.5 hours with 3 cheap plastic containers strapped on the back and they were not even warm from the exhaust. It is high enough that it will not drag entering parking lots or inclines. And spare tire clearance is not an issue.....I thought it might be so...... Get it!!!!!
